Your Lebanese fruit and nut shop sounds fantastic. As does the park, the pool and the trash & treasure market.

Work? Not so good. Sounds like you are doing well at negotiating your way through it.

It is great that you can see the good things. That will keep you strong and steady.

Sorry to hear move aftermath has been unsettling but good to hear other things are going well. The work negotiation sounds very well handled - so easy to let things simmer unaddressed with those kinds of things but it all sounds much more manageable now. The Lebanese shop sounds fantastic!! Where??

Janet can you email me the nut shop details too? And the trash and treasure? Thanks.

Hi Janet.
From personal experience it takes me about 3 months to regain my equilibrium after moving house.
Lebanese shop? Where? Is that near the kinder?
You'll have to tell me at the next Friday night thingo, I'm sure we are bound to meet there sooner or later....

There are a couple of people at my work who need a good slapping. Isn't it interesting how some people manage to be 40 and still be a teenager? So frustrating for those of us who think it's important to be grownup at work....

I want a lebanese shop.

Penni, there's a pretty good Lebanese stall at St Andrews market.

I have a colleague who I want to slap on a regular basis. I laughed out loud at your comment that it would be mighty unprofessional. And on the moving front ... I still grieve for my beautiful Flemington house after three years. The most unsettling thing was when the new owners came to do a post-sale reccie while we were eating dinner. It was awful watching them go around measuring fridge alcoves, sofa spaces, etc. Godawful.

January is a strange time of year.

I'm so glad the pool stayed open for you. We've been to the Croydon Outdoor pool a few times this Summer. I refuse to take the girls to the new indoor pool when everyone fought so hard to keep the outdoor one open.

Your garden will be blooming before you know it. I get the feeling that you are a natural green thumb.

Serious door handle envy, serious Lebanese shop envy!

Congratulations on coping so well with the move ! It's always fraught ....but you've already found a great local shop, a nice park and new neighbours . I'm impressed ! I love my nearby Turkish shop and their delicious olives and Feta .
