She did that to me too - kept the camera on me as I approached, so I did that whole 'stop looking at me don't take my photo I'm embarrassed I can't stop laughing you're naughty put that camera down' thing.

When I started blogging nearly 4 years ago I had NO IDEA it would bring a new circle of wonderful real life women into my life and that I would have coffee, dinner and weekends away with them. (And do yarn deals in public parks). Absolutely no idea. What a privilege.

Sounds very like my experience of blogging, and my limited experience of blogmeets too.

I have 'met' all sorts of interesting and wonderful people through this medium, and hope to 'blogmeet' them for real some day.

And don't get me started on Twitter. I do recall the first time I ever saw someone IM'ing - about the most inane crap, and I thought (in my most superior fashion) Get. A. Life.

However all of these things have their uses.

I'm certainly glad I started blogging.

Hmmm, looking now, I think maybe I was trying to make a point about the different levels on which one can read and write a blog. About how the level of interaction can vary so widely and be still OK. About being just a reader of someone's blog - which is like reading a book or magazine (sort of) and then as a reader/commenter/meeter. Something like that.

I'm glad I crept around the corner then and didn't have to walk down the barrel of Mary's lens. So, did nobody take pictures of actual bloggers? Hm, all of us too busy chatterboxing, obviously.

lovely photos as always janet, i have added you to my blogroll x

Here I am tucked up in bed with my laptop. What a wonderful day I had with you all.

My photos sucked though.

I think I was too busy focusing on talking to focus on focus.

Oh! How absolutely wonderful!

And, by the way, I'm so pleased that the unicorn is now unwrapped and being played with. Happy birthday sweet Grace.

It sounds (throughout blogland) like you had a wonderful day.
